When you are trying to persuade somebody on a subject you can use there reason against them. Lets say you are trying to persuade someone to buy a new pair of shoes that are on sale. You can tell them it will help with there sore feet or back problems and that it is a good deal because there are on sale and will save 20 bucks. And most times people would buy the shoes. So how I interrupted that statement was that you can persuade someone to  do something that there logic says is right.

1. After reading the introduction chapter to engaging cinema, what are you initial thoughts as to studying the subject of film?

That it's not so easy as just pushing the play button. You have to worry about many camera angles,setting, actors, and sound. There is so many things you have to worry about to engage the viewer on the movie you're making.

2 Are movies a social danger or a social benefit.

It is a double edged sword some say that cinema can cause people to do things they not normally to do, or you can also view it as a way to get out of your normal life and step in the shoes of something you could never do in real life. I think they are a benefit because they make us think outside of the box. and I don't think movies make people do stupid stuff like kill other people that's like saying a gun is the reason there is war.

first history through class post

     What are your thoughts about taking the class history through film? What do you hope to get out of this class and what strengths do you bring to the class that will help us all progress forward as we learn.

     Well I think history through film is a new way of learning instead of having to learn out of a text book or taking notes. We get to watch films and decide how they help society or hurt society. I want to know what goes into making a film so if one day I have to make a video i will know what I'm doing. One of the strengths I bring to history through film class is I am a good listener.
